Hyatt is currently seeking an Network Engineer to support the Hyatt team. The role provides daily challenges and no day is the same as the next. This role has both operational and strategic responsibilities, along with interaction with customers. This role will plan, coordinate, implement and deliver services to our customers and partners on a variety of platforms and vendors, including Cisco Nexus , Meraki , Arista, F5. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have subject matter expertise in several network technology areas, with the ability to rapidly scale up in other areas. The Network Engineer’s goal will be to deliver a high-quality product by committed delivery dates, consistently.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, implement and support new and existing services for customers and business partners.
- Improve performance and availability of existing networks and services.
- Research, track, document, publish, maintain and deliver on network policies and procedures.
- Work with management to improve process, procedures and reduce inefficiencies.
- Out of the box thinking – text book solutions are not always the best answer.
- Mentor, train and assist team members.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of switches, firewalls ( Cisco ASA/FTD/Fortinet) and security concepts (IOS, NEXUS, Arista,VPN, ACL, STP, SNMP).
- Experience with Cisco Meraki or similar cloud-managed networking platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing tables).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Understanding of network security principles (ACLs, VPNs, firewalls).
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
- Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in hybrid cloud networking environments.
- Solarwinds (Monitoring, management, scripting)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
