We are seeking a Network Engineer with extensive experience in optical networking. This role involves the rollout, operation, and troubleshooting of large-scale Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the high availability and reliability of critical network infrastructure.

Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience is required.
Technical Skills:
The pay rate for this position is projected to be between $67.00 and $77.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.

- Participate in the rollout and operations of large DWDM and optical network technologies.
- Utilize optical planning and modeling tools for network deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within DWDM and optical systems.
- Manage multiple responsibilities across product development, operations, and strategic initiatives.
- Work in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call responsibilities, to address business-critical downtime.
- Propose and implement automation for networking tasks such as deployment, configuration, and metric collection.
- Document work and operational issues to support continuous system improvement.
Experience: A minimum of 5-8 years of industry experience is required.
Technical Skills:
- Direct hands-on experience deploying and operating high-capacity DWDM systems.
- Experience with optical transport networks (OTN) and fiber infrastructure.
- Proficiency in network analysis, with robust troubleshooting skills for optical DWDM network issues.
- Experience with telecommunications carriers, internet service providers, or data center operators.
- Ability to use command-line tools and scripts.
- Organizational skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Familiarity with change management processes in operational environments.
- Automation scripting capabilities in languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl.
- Understanding of network topology design, architecture, and protocols.
- Familiarity with integrating hardware and software across different platforms, including commodity and OEM optical platforms.
