Laboratory Technician

Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Laboratory Technician with one of our Life Science clients.

SUMMARY

• Performs laboratory tests to determine chemical, physical and microbiological characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development by performing the following duties.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory instruments (e.g., microscopes, balances, moisture analyzers, grinders, sieves, volatile oil testers).
• Analyze raw materials and finished products for purity, stability, density, and other key attributes.
• Test process solutions for chemical concentration, specific gravity, and related characteristics.
• Verify product compliance with specifications through routine sampling and testing.
• Perform microbiological testing and collect composite samples as required.
• Document test results and prepare detailed reports outlining procedures and findings.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Prepare chemical solutions following standard formulations.
• Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure sanitation and equipment readiness.
• Assist with label control and verification processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Ability to perform all essential duties accurately and efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Onsite expectation: 100% onsite

Pay range: $21/hr on W2
