Jr Business Analyst

Location: Memphis, Tennessee (Hybrid)

Schedule: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote

Employment Type: 12 Month W2 Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst – ServiceNow Operations to provide high-level oversight and analysis of the ServiceNow ticketing process within a leading healthcare research organization. This role focuses on evaluating how requests are tracked, processed, escalated, and completed, ensuring alignment with operational workflows and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate is analytical, process-oriented, and comfortable partnering with researchers, operational leaders, and technical teams to improve service delivery and request outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own oversight of the end-to-end ServiceNow ticket lifecycle, analyzing how research and operational requests are logged, routed, prioritized, and resolved.
  • Evaluate ticket trends, bottlenecks, turnaround times, and completion quality to identify opportunities for workflow improvements.
  • Monitor queue health, aging tickets, and SLA adherence, proactively escalating risks or breakdowns in process.
  • Partner with operational and technical leaders to refine request intake standards, categorization, and routing logic.
  • Serve as a process analyst and liaison between researchers, service teams, and stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements and expectations.
  • Communicate insights, patterns, and recommendations related to ticket performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to ServiceNow usage, reporting, and governance.
  • Assist senior Business Analysts with broader operational initiatives, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.

Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a business analyst, operations analyst, or service management role focused on process evaluation and improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing or analyzing ticket-based operational workflows, rather than solely managing individual tickets.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate operational needs into actionable process insights.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with ticketing systems is required; ServiceNow strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret ticket data, trends, and operational metrics to support decision-making.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to workflow and process design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at multiple levels, from frontline users to operational leadership.
  • Highly organized with the ability to balance oversight of multiple workstreams.
  • Strong ownership mindset with professional persistence and collaborative approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in healthcare, research, or enterprise service operations.
  • Experience supporting or improving service management, intake workflows, or operational governance models.

Work Environment

  • This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work in Memphis, TN.
  • Onsite days are Monday and Wednesday.
  • Remote days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • The schedule may adjust based on business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $40.00 and $43.00 per hour. This position is a 12-month contract.
