Location: Jersey City, New Jersey (Onsite)
Role Overview
This role is for an experienced Fidessa developer within a financial services technology organization. The team supports institutional and retail equities trading desks by developing, enhancing, and maintaining multiple production trading applications built on the Fidessa platform. A successful candidate must have hands-on Fidessa implementation experience, in-depth knowledge of Fidessa architecture and products, and a proven history of performing product upgrades with complex onsite customizations.
Key Responsibilities
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline is required.
Experience: This position requires 3 years of Fidessa server-side development experience.

- Support multiple Fidessa trading systems.
- Integrate Fidessa systems into the organization's technology stack.
- Upgrade product components on a regular basis to keep up with the latest updates.
- Work with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to satisfy business and regulatory requirements.
- Onboard the systems to DevOps CI/CD tools.

Technical Skills:
- Fidessa Product Suite: CASE, FBL, TOP (OMAR, TMAR, PMAC), PAIRS, NMS, FIX , APAS, FDA.
- FIX protocol.
- Platforms: Windows 10/11, Linux.
- Equities / Global Markets / Order Management and Post-Trade.
- Scripting: TCL, Python, Unix shell scripting, PowerShell.
- Databases: Sybase, MS SQL Server.
- Distributed system design, messaging, and event processing.
- Messaging frameworks: AMPS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS.
- Automated testing frameworks.
- Agile SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
- AI tooling.
- 3 years of core Java development experience.
- Hands-on FDA and Sybase experience.
- FTW development experience is a strong plus.
