What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Apex Systems?

The Role :

Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all organization hosted events throughout the calendar year.
Event / Meeting planning and coordination for large conferences, monthly board meetings, networking events, and membership meetings annually.
Responsible for venue evaluation / booking, speaker scheduling, sponsorship coordination, event registration, and catering.
Ensure seamless event execution by managing logistics, coordinating stakeholders, and enhancing the overall attendee experience.

Must Have Requirements :

2 years of event planning / coordination experience

High School Diploma / GED

MS Office skills- Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook required. MS Project preferred

Proficiency with event registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, etc.)

Plusses :

CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or equivalent certification.

Experience planning defense, government, or technology-related conferences.
