CDL Truck Driver

Job Overview
Position Summary

Apex Septic & Excavating is seeking a dependable and hardworking CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for transporting heavy equipment, hauling dirt and construction materials, operating lowboy trailers, and assisting field crews when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL trucks, lowboy trailers, dump trucks, and other company vehicles.
• Transport heavy equipment to and from job sites.
• Haul dirt, gravel, sand, stone, and other construction materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required vehicle reports.
• Secure equipment and loads in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Assist excavation and septic crews with job site tasks when driving duties are complete.
• Help load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and crew members.
• Report maintenance issues and mechanical concerns promptly.
• Ensure all required licenses, medical cards, and certifications remain current.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required.
• Clean driving record.
• Experience operating lowboy trailers and transporting heavy equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe load securement practices.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus.
• Septic, excavation, underground utility, or construction experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor when needed.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as required.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
