Painter

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure high-quality results that meet client expectations. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Select appropriate paints, coatings, and materials based on project specifications and color theory principles
• Apply paint using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools for efficient coverage
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and surface areas
• Perform specialized painting tasks including industrial painting, restoration work, stucco application, masonry finishing, and renovation projects
• Install fixtures, trim carpentry, or other surface components as needed during remodeling or renovation jobs
• Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and complete work within designated timelines

Skills

• Extensive experience with residential and commercial painting techniques
• Strong knowledge of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and safety equipment on construction sites
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
• Skilled in plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry finishing, and concrete or frame carpentry
• Familiarity with industrial painting processes and maintenance tasks
• Experience with fixture installation, remodeling projects, welding (as needed), and handyman tasks
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface areas and material quantities
• Knowledge of construction estimating for project planning and resource management
• Ability to work safely on construction sites with a focus on health regulations and safety protocols
