Pool Technician

Duties

• Conduct regular pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain pristine water quality.
• Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as water testing, chemical balancing, and filtration system checks to ensure safety and compliance.
• Diagnose and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and timers using hand tools and power tools.
• Inspect pool components for wear or damage and perform necessary repairs or replacements promptly to prevent operational issues.
• Maintain detailed service records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and chemical treatments applied.
• Assist with opening and closing pools seasonally by preparing equipment and ensuring all systems are properly shut down or activated.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to protect yourself and others from hazards.

Experience

• Prior experience as a service technician or in a related pool maintenance role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various pool equipment components.
• Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and chemical balancing procedures.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, as well as power tools like drills or saws for equipment repair.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment, bending, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with good communication skills to report issues accurately.
