APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an established manufacturing company in Warren, Michigan to add an Office Administrator / HR & Executive Assistant to their growing team. This position will support employee benefits, HR administration, executive leadership, office operations, and administrative finance functions while reporting directly to the President / General Manager. What your day will look like:
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and 401K enrollment, eligibility changes, employee questions, and coordination with vendors and carriers
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR files while ensuring documentation remains organized and audit-ready
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new-hire paperwork, orientation logistics, and account/equipment setup coordination
- Provide executive support to the President / General Manager, including calendar management, correspondence, travel arrangements, and meeting preparation
- Oversee daily office operations, including vendor relationships, office supplies, facilities coordination, mail, and front-office responsibilities
- Handle administrative finance responsibilities, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and payroll-related support using QuickBooks and ADP
- Coordinate internal communications, meetings, and company events
What we are looking for:
- 3 years of experience in office administration, HR, executive assistant work, or a combination of these areas
- Hands-on experience administering employee benefits, including health insurance and 401K plans
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential employee and company information with sound judgment and discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ADP and QuickBooks is preferred
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
- Dependable attendance and ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm
