Apex Pipe Services is a leading underground infrastructure contractor specializing in storm and sanitary pipeline maintenance, cleaning, video inspection, and related site support services across Florida. We are a fast-growing company seeking an organized, detail-driven Office Engineer / Project Support staff member to join our team. This role will directly assist operations leadership by keeping project information accurate, organized, and actionable to improve efficiency, prevent rework, and support timely billing.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all active jobs and maintain a daily updated job progress and task status log related to storm and sanitary line work.
- Review progress updates each morning to ensure project managers always have the latest, real-time information.
- Track field work status to identify and document repeat or follow-up work; verify appropriate billing and prevent duplicate activity.
- Support management of rented materials and equipment, including pumps, hoses, plugs, and well points.
- Over time, help oversee well point operations-tracking locations, moves, pick-ups, and coordination with field crews.
- Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and reports for job status, materials, and field equipment.
- Assist with general project documentation, communication, and coordination as assigned by project managers.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction and utility plans.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel (creating and maintaining tracking sheets).
- Task-driven, proactive approach with strong follow-through.
- Some knowledge of civil or utility construction practices is preferred but not required.
- Clear and professional communication skills for coordination with office and field teams.
