What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing / Claims Follow up Specialist position at Apex Pediatric Therapy Services?
Responsibilities:
- Update status of all submitted claims within 10 days of submission.
- Perform regular claims status check and proactively follow up with the insurance companies to resolve claim issues
- Provide regular and proper notes / documentation on status of the claims and next steps.
- Highlight any issues, denials, etc, on a timely basis to the supervisor.
- Follow up on all appeals, claims, letters, or other documentation within 20 days or less of the submission
- Maintain work list through daily audits and the open task report.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Must know Microsoft Excel
- Diligent and has attention to details
- Excellent organization, planning and time-management skills
- Skilled in prioritizing multiple tasks
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
