| This position involves teaching art and educational classes at the Community Recreation Center. Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, this position is responsible for planning, preparing, and teaching classes. The instructor must be dependable and enjoy working with children and adults. |
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Responsible for planning and implementing classes.
- Prepare examples of new projects or techniques and present them to students.
- Ensure raw materials and supplies are available and communicate to the coordinator when we need to purchase supplies.
- Keep equipment clean and ensure it is in good working order.
- Provide a safe learning environment and enforce safety rules and program rules. Keep the room clean and chemicals and hazardous chemicals locked in a cabinet.
- Must demonstrate proper technique, safety knowledge, and use of all equipment provided.
- CPR/AED and first aid certifications (case-by-case).
