Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately
- Perform order picking and order fulfillment tasks with precision using various equipment like pickers and order pickers to ensure timely shipping & receiving
- Stock shelves efficiently by organizing materials according to warehouse distribution standards and safety protocols
- Assist with packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to OSHA safety guidelines and quality standards
- Conduct regular inventory audits and participate in cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels
- Support shipping & receiving processes by loading/unloading trucks and verifying inbound/outbound shipments against shipping documents
Skills
- Extensive experience with inventory management systems (including AS400) and RF scanners for real-time stock tracking
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools safely and effectively
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management practices including stocking, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory control
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance is desirable
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards ensures a safe working environment for all team members
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining efficiency during materials handling tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory accuracy
- Knowledge of manufacturing or construction environments enhances adaptability in diverse warehouse settings
