Athletic Youth Mentor Position
Are you passionate about fitness, leadership, and building tomorrow's leaders? If you love the idea of working with elementary to middle school students to teach them about leadership and fitness while also helping them raise funds for their school, then this is the job for you! As an APEX Athletic Youth Mentor, you will go into various Hartford and Litchfield County Schools for 2-week periods to inspire kids with our leadership lessons and facilitate a Fun Run or Remix/Fitness-a-thon as their fundraiser. The program includes teacher huddles, pep rallies, class lessons, prize delivery, Fun Run Day and recap. Be a member of a team changing lives!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve teachers and administrators while striving to make their jobs easier
- Inspire students by being an excellent role model at all times
- Teach leadership lessons and interact with students during lunch and PE.
- Set up and tear down equipment needed for each aspect of the program.
MUST HAVES:
- Strong Character and Integrity
- A clean background check
- Ability to connect with kids, teachers and administrators
- High energy/Detail Oriented/ Self-Motivated
- Transportation to and from the various school locations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- You love working with kids (Experience as a Youth Program Manager or Youth Coordinator is a plus but not required)
- You get things done (You follow through on every task no matter how big or small. You understand the importance of staying on schedule. "That's not My Job" is not part of your vocabulary.)
- Excellent communication skills
- You're Reliable: When you say you're going to do something you mean it!

JOB DETAILS:
- This opportunity is in the Hartford/Litchfield County Area
- Hours: Vary but appx. 7:00-3:00 Monday thru Friday
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Internship
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- Most schools book our program September thru November and Mid-January thru early June, therefore there could be breaks in our schedule. Many team members have side jobs to compensate. Does this still work for you?
- Our training will not start until the week of August 25. Does this work for you?
- Will you be available Monday thru Friday, from appx. 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for this position?
