Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair various irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution across landscapes.
- Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components, including valves, controllers, pipes, and sprinklers.
- Diagnose electrical issues within irrigation systems using electrical diagnostics tools and techniques.
- Adjust and calibrate irrigation timers and controllers to meet specific landscape needs.
- Perform soil science assessments to determine appropriate watering schedules and system adjustments.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators for system installation or repairs.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions with lawn care and horticulture practices.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on irrigation systems or related equipment.
- Strong electrical diagnostics skills to troubleshoot wiring and controller issues effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation management principles, soil science, and landscape maintenance practices.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment like excavators is preferred.
- Background in horticulture or landscaping with an understanding of lawn care and soil conditions.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and system schematics accurately.
- Construction experience or familiarity with land development projects is a plus.
