Registered Respiratory Therapist II NP - NICU

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, including medication administration, ventilator management, airway procedures, and patient assessments, primarily in critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered respiratory care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and educate patients and families.
• Perform procedures such as intubation, extubation, arterial blood gas sampling, and pulmonary diagnostics.
• Ensure safety through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and promotion of evidence-based practices.
• Support staff development, participate in quality improvement, and foster a positive team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, complying with organizational policies.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with science coursework; Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 0-2 years of clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, and computer skills.
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license, Respiratory Care Professional certification, and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications (including instructor and provisional statuses).
