- Assisting residents with activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility using proper techniques.
- Administering prescribed medications delegated by a licensed nurse, documenting outcomes, and communicating resident condition changes.
- Monitoring vital signs, collecting non-invasive specimens, and providing psycho-social support.
- Supporting residents with meals, snacks, and hydration, and assisting with housekeeping and laundry tasks.
- Participating in wellness and recreational programs to promote resident engagement.
- Completing department-specific competency training and maintaining required certifications.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18 preferred.
- Current CNA and CMA certifications as required by state regulations.
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred.
- Commitment to ongoing education, with at least 12 hours of annual continuing education.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate care and transfer techniques.
- Strong communication skills for effective resident and team interactions.
- Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and respond to changing resident needs.
- Willingness to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
