LPN/LVN - Long Term Care/SNF

Role: LPN/LVN in a Long Term Care/SNF setting, responsible for providing comprehensive patient care to a unit of 1 to 30 residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring patient health by regularly checking vital signs and observing for changes in physical or mental conditions.
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility.
• Administering medications (oral, topical, intramuscular, and possibly IV) and monitoring for effects or adverse reactions.
• Performing wound care, including cleaning, dressing changes, and applying topical medications.
• Executing clinical procedures like inserting urinary catheters, collecting lab samples, nasal/tracheal suctioning, and removing sutures or staples.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• New Mexico or compact LPN license.
• BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  
  

Additional Details: No float or call required. Must complete training before working on the floor. The role involves performing medication administration independently due to the absence of med techs.
