Role: Provide spiritual care services to patients, families, and caregivers within a hospice program, collaborating with community spiritual counselors as needed. Care for individuals across all ages and perform clinical duties aligned with population-specific guidelines and standards.
Responsibilities include: Conducting spiritual assessments, counseling, and support; participating in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings; facilitating connections with community clergy; respecting diverse spiritual and cultural values; participating in on-call duties; supporting staff and volunteers; maintaining records; contributing to policies; supervising volunteer chaplains; engaging in outreach and education; and performing memorial services.
Qualifications & Skills: Master’s Degree, ordination or recognized faith commission, clinical pastoral education, pastoral counseling experience, and familiarity with death and dying. Must have current BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days. Skills in communication, organization, spiritual counseling, ecumenical sensitivity, and computer literacy are essential. Experience in hospice care and working with diverse populations is preferred.
