Role: Registered Nurse Inpatient Services RN CAP 1, an entry-level position in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP), responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities: Perform patient data collection and analysis, adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, recognize and report patient status changes, deliver safe patient care, administer medications and transfusions, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with healthcare team members. May supervise or assist in training staff and provide specialized nursing instruction. Assist in outpatient settings as needed and complete CAP requirements for advancement.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have prior dialysis or acute care experience, graduate from an accredited nursing school, hold current licensure, and CPR/BLS certification. Entry-level RN with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience, with preferred experience in hemodialysis or ICU. Physical demands include heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and exposure to infectious materials. Must be adaptable to working in healthcare environments, including travel and on-call duties.
