Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and related hardware.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to handle garage door components.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct inspections of existing garage doors to identify issues or necessary repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at job sites.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to garage door installation.
- Experience in electrical work is a plus for wiring automatic garage door openers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with drywall and trim carpentry is advantageous for seamless installations.
- Skills in door hanging, locksmithing, glass installation, and frame carpentry are preferred.
- A general maintenance person background is beneficial for troubleshooting various installation challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
