Job Summary: Conducts inspections on aircraft part subassemblies and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and airworthiness criteria.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares assemblies for inspections.
- Performs inspections of aircraft part subassemblies and assemblies.
- Conducts testing, interprets, evaluates and documents results in accordance with approved procedures.
- Performs / verifies acceptance of production tooling used to produce and accept parts.
- Performs First Article Inspections.
- Performs Receiving Inspection.
- Verifies part mark per shop router.
- Remains familiar with all codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method.
- Accurately completes and processes all paperwork associated with inspections.
- Prepares internal and external customer nonconformance reports.
NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures parts flow through inspection process in a timely manner.
- Strive to achieve zero escapements or rejections from all customers.
- Ensure traceability of all components and parts.
- Provides assistance in other areas of quality as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment required.

- 1 years of previous experience required; aircraft parts inspection preferred
- FARO Arm experience
- Blue-print reading
- Understanding of OEM Specifications
- Enovia 3D Viewer and/or CATIA
- Able to perform inspections using coordinate measuring machine (CMM), Verisurf
- Ability to read and understand GD&T
- Discus FAIR Software
- Net-Inspect
- Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines
- Well-developed communication skills
- Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, and perform work independently without being prompted
- Ability to manage competing priorities, prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and work within deadlines
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)
