What are the responsibilities and job description for the DERMATOPATHOLOGIST position at Apex Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center LLC?
We are seeking a full-time board certified dermatopathologist to join our team of experienced dermatology and pathology trained dermatopathologists. Our dermatopathologists practice at a new, state of the art, purpose built, CAP certified dermatopathology laboratory. The cases we receive for evaluation are only from Apex Skin (www.apexskin.com) providers who practice within our large growing regional physician-owned and led dermatology group. In this position, you will collaborate with our dermatopathologists, dermatologists, and other healthcare professionals to promptly provide accurate diagnostic assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose neoplastic and inflammatory dermatological conditions with confidence on histologic examination
- Provide clear and concise diagnostic reports
- Work independently and manage a reasonable caseload
- Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to align diagnoses with clinical findings
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality standards
Job Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Dermatopathology
- Board certification in Dermatology or Pathology
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Ohio
- At least 2 years of post-fellowship experience in dermatopathology practice preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Proficiency with utilization of an electronic medical record (EMA/ModMed) and dictation software (Dragon)
