What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Dental Receptionist/Assistant position at Apex Dental Studio?
Apex Dental Studio in Huntington, IN is currently seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist to add to our team. Must have at least 1 year of experience in the dental field as a Dental Receptionist, Dental Assistant or other dental team member.
We are looking for someone to serve as an advocate and educator in dental care. The role is essential to maintain a proper workflow within the office. Additionally, this role assists the Office Manager in production goals and participates in greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and other office responsibilities as required. Team member must be warm and engaging with the ability to build quick rapport. An empathetic listener who quickly understands the needs of our patients.
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Excellent communication skills
- Understand the practice’s policy on working with dental benefit plans and be prepared to educate patients on their dental benefits.
- Focuses on patient’s prosperity and HIPAA compliance
- Working closely with our doctor and assistants to make sense of best patient treatment and care
- Explain the treatment plan, address patient concerns and answer any questions
- Assist the patient in prioritizing the treatment and establish a plan for scheduling and payment
- Management and setup of in house discount plans for patients
- Build trust, and understand the patient’s objectives
- Conduct financial consultations with new patients and with existing patients when new treatment plans are presented.
- Manage and maintain the payment options and policies for patients to uphold the practice’s financial integrity
- Communicate with all outside and third-party financing companies offered to patients and educate patients on the available outside financing options.
- Assist in the practice collections protocol for all outstanding balances.
- Run unscheduled treatment report, recall, and ASAP list to manage openings in providers' schedules.
