Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Survey Crew Chief, located in Indianapolis, IN. The Survey Crew Chief will be responsible for leading a crew in conducting various types of surveys, including construction staking, topographic, route, ALTA, and boundary surveys. Day-to-day tasks will include setting up and operating survey equipment, collecting and analyzing data, ensuring accuracy and precision, preparing detailed survey reports, and supervising field crew members.
Qualifications
- Experience in fieldwork for Construction Staking, Topographic Surveys, Route Surveys, ALTA Surveys, and Boundary Surveys
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in field surveying practices is preferred
- Skilled in operating Total Station and GNSS equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites
- Relevant certifications and/or an associate/bachelor’s degree in surveying or a related field are preferred, though not required if experience equates such achievements.
- Understanding of INDOT projects is a plus, though not required.

$60k-$80k per year
