We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven CAD Drafter / Modeler to join our team at our Daphne, Alabama office. This position supports civil, structural, and multidisciplinary design efforts by producing accurate 2D construction drawing packages and assisting with 3D modeling using Revit or similar software. The role works closely with engineers, project managers, and project teams to support the successful execution of federal construction projects.

The ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient, and capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Drafting & Design Support

• Prepare and revise 2D CAD drawings for civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines
• Develop complete drawing packages including plans, sections, details, and schedules
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and design revisions accurately and efficiently

3D Modeling & Coordination

• Assist with 3D modeling using Revit or other BIM/modeling software
• Support multidisciplinary coordination to ensure consistency across drawing sets
• Help maintain drawing standards and model organization

Documentation & Quality

• Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation
• Ensure drawings align with project requirements, company standards, and federal guidelines
• Support quality control efforts by reviewing drawings for accuracy and completeness

Team & Project Support

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers throughout design development
• Provide in-office drafting support for ongoing and upcoming projects
• Assist with updates during design and construction phases as needed

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in CAD drafting for civil, structural, or engineering projects
• Experience supporting construction or engineering teams preferred
• Exposure to federal, DoD, or regulated projects is a plus

Education:

• Associate degree, technical certification, or formal training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
• Equivalent professional experience will be considered

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software
• Working knowledge of Revit or other 3D modeling software preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and construction documents
