Apex Companies is looking for a Staff Scientist to join our team in either Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, or Corpus Christi, Texas. This is a remote position but must be located in one of the cities listed.
Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 1 - Staff Scientist:
- Collect soil, water, air, and/or buildingmaterial samples.
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
- Input data into template reports.
- Stormwater Inspections.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
- 1-2 years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection.
- Strong technical writing skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
- Experience with data management and report preparation.
- Valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportationare required.
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with avian surveys and GIS preferred
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
