Compensation:$80,000 -$110,000 depending on qualifications experience
Apex's Rockies Division is expanding and is looking foran EnvironmentalComplianceProject Manager.The ideal candidate is highly organized,detail-orientatedand has the people and technical compliance skills needed tosupportand manageclientprojects.
Your Responsibilities as an EnvironmentalComplianceProject Manager:
- Prepare environmental permits and reports forprojects, facilities, and operations forclients intransportationand warehousing, construction, oil andgas, renewable energy, building management,and municipal markets.
- High degree of technical competency in NPDES stormwater(construction, industrial, and MS4),dewatering, andSPCC.
- Familiarity withvariousstate specificenvironmental programssuch asoil and gasregulations, industrialstormwaterrequirements, baseline water quality, and RCRAregulations.
- Provide technical oversight and mentor scientific staff to ensure quality work products.Overseewater qualityinspections, sampling, and development of Spill Prevention, Control, andCountermeasure(SPCC), stormwaterplansand groundwater environmental compliance reports.
- Client interaction and relationship developmentthroughonsite and virtual client meetings.Limited overnight travelmayberequired but is not expected to exceed 5%.
- Strongtrack recordof proposal development and managing project deliverables,schedulesand budgets.
- Analyze environmental legislation and regulations anddetermineimpact on client activities.
- Define and developyour own professional growthwith mentoring from seniormanagers.
- Flexible working conditions.
What we're looking for:
- BS inchemical, environmental or civil engineering,geology,environmentalscience, or another related field.
- 8 years of professional experience in consulting or industry.
- Fundamental understanding of requirements forSPCC inspections and stormwater inspections, monitoring, and sampling.
- Proficient at independentlyresearching,reviewing,andguiding compliance withenvironmental regulations ata Federal, State and Locallevels;including SPCC,NPDES &discharge permitting.
- Experiencewithwater sampling for groundwater and/or surface water.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve whilemaintaininghigh-qualityworkandeffectivelymanagingtime.
- Strong communicationskills, and collaborative workethic.
- Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices.
- Excellentwritingandproficiencywith Microsoft Office suite arerequired.
- Professionalengineering license or ability to obtain within six months of hire is a plus.
- Valid driver'slicense anda good drivinghistory arerequired.
- Experience supporting clientsin the Rockies with regulatorycompliance isplus.
