What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chiropractic Assistant (front office AND rehab) position at Apex Chiropractic?
We are an office looking for a detail oriented, organized, enthusiastic and friendly individual to join us.
This position involves a mixture of rehab/exercises duties as well as front desk duties depending on the day.
In this role you will be responsible for teaching/assisting doctor prescribed exercises and managing/sharing front desk responsibilites.
Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary
- Answer all phone calls and handle accordingly
- Utilize our medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for our patients
- Register new patients and update necessary records
- Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and then check them over to ensure that required fields are completed appropriately
- Process bills, invoices, and patient payments in office
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records
- Ensure that the waiting room environment remains quiet, calm, clean and welcoming
- Uphold the positive reputation of our office by always treating patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner
- Other office duties
Rehab/Exercise Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach and assist patients with various exercises based on their specific rehab plan prescribed by the treating chiropractor.
- Keep and maintain accurate and detailed notes about patients visit.
- Continuously communicate and coordinate with treating chiropractors to ensure high quality care.
- Keep a clean environment by consistently cleaning equipment after patient use.
- Coordinating patient flow between exercise, treatment room and traction.
- Laundry: including folding and organizing patient gowns and cloths.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
- Ensure that the rehab area environment remains welcoming and inviting for patients to feel comfortable during their treatment.
- Uphold the positive reputation of our office by always treating patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
- Other office duties.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience working as an receptionist, administrative assistant or in a relevant role preferred
- 1 years of experience working as an medical assistant, physical therapy tech, rehab specialist, personal trainer / physical trainer or in a relevant role preferred
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality of all patient records
Job Type: Full-Time
- Approximate Employee Hours: 32-35 hours (hours can vary based on patient schedule, employee must stay until all patients have completed their treatment )
- Monday: 7:20A-12:30P, 2:00P-7:00P
- Tuesday and Thursday: 1:30P-7:00P
- Wednesday and Friday: 6:40A-12:30P
- * Starting Wages: $17-20 an hour (based on experience and qualifications)\
