Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting cannabis products tailored to their preferences and needs
• Educate customers on different strains, consumption methods, potency levels, and product effects to support informed decisions
• Conduct engaging product demonstrations and provide samples when appropriate, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Upsell complementary products such as accessories, edibles, or other related items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
• Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure all products are well-stocked, organized, and properly labeled
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves regularly, conducting stock counts, and notifying management of low inventory levels
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills
• Assist with store cleanliness, safety protocols, and adherence to all regulatory requirements related to cannabis sales
• Support team members through supervising experience when needed, helping foster a collaborative retail environment

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product details clearly and confidently
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting
• Proven ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
• Knowledge of retail math for accurate transactions, inventory management, and sales reporting
• Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette that creates positive interactions
• Experience in merchandising, stocking shelves, and managing product displays in a retail environment
• Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team leadership roles
• Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and inventory counts
• Familiarity with cannabis products or willingness to learn about strain profiles, consumption methods, and legal regulations
