Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with a focus on delivering high-quality service in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Carry out custodial duties in various facilities including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while performing cleaning tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance can be beneficial for this role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
