At Apex, you’ll start as a Behavior Technician in Training and receive paid training, mentorship, and support to earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
What You'll Do
Behavior Technicians provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children, teens, and adults, primarily in in-home settings, with some opportunities in school and community environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing individualized treatment plans designed by a BCBA
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
- Supporting reduction of challenging behaviors
- Collecting and recording data on client progress
- Collaborating with caregivers and clinical supervisors
- Participating in ongoing training and supervision
What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a science-based approach to understanding and improving behavior. Using ABA and Positive Behavior Supports (PBS), we help individuals build meaningful skills across areas like communication, social interaction, self-care, independence, and more.
Compensation
- Posted pay range reflects the RBT rate (after certification)
- Employees begin as entry-level Behavior Technicians in Training with a training wage
- Pay increases provided at key milestones: after completing training modules, upon obtaining RBT certification, at 6 months, and annually

Schedule
- Monday–Friday availability required, with priority hours between 3:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Part-time: approximately 10–15 hours per week
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Willingness to complete RBT certification (training provided)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Access to a device (phone, tablet, or laptop)
