Apex Bank is seeking a qualified Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a premier community bank with branches statewide, we are looking for a dedicated professional to support our Operations Center and to grow their career with us.
Job Description
The Administrative Loans Support Specialist is an essential member of the loan operations team here at Apex Bank. They will work alongside other team members from all across the entire bank to help ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities. They will assist with the development and implementation of new or updated processes and procedures as well as assisting with filing, mail check-in/distribution, payment, processing, and follow up.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Collecting, sorting, logging, and distributing incoming mail and packages to the correct departments or individuals; preparing outgoing mail including letters, packages, and other correspondence
· Handling the application of mailed in payments and payoffs and ensuring that all payment details are correct and valid before processing
· Processing insurance mail to consist of reviewing coverage, updating payees amounts and notes, scanning, and escalation when necessary
· Assist with tax and insurance updates and general loan maintenance; review, log, and update accounts for returned mail. Prepare and process releases for unsecured loans and handle unsecured payoffs according to standard operating procedures.
· Prepare and print daily escrow checks, as well as morning reports and statements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
· Work with team members toward common goals and provide cross-departmental assistance as needed.
Required Job Skills and Experience:
· Candidate should have 2 years of applicable work experience working within an office setting.
· Must be able to work in an office environment and have the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated with minimal direct supervision.
· Keen sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
· Strong organizational skills and superb attention to detail.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Strong computer skills with full comprehension of Microsoft Office.
· Problem-solving abilities.
· Must pass a pre-employment background check.
· High school diploma or GED required, college graduate or some college experience preferred.
