REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Loss Mitigation Specialist serves as the Single Point of Contact for delinquent customers who are review and assess their financial hardships to for possible assistance. Contact customers with delinquent accounts to assist with and document appropriate resolutions for long or short term solutions. Discuss options available to the debtor such as payment plans, workouts, deferment, pre-foreclosure sales, short sales or deed in lieu. Identify and request appropriate documents required for loss mitigation review. Analyze the debtor’s financial situation (DTI) and make recommendations of loss mitigation options to resolve delinquency. Notify debtors and ensure their understanding of current status, options, timelines and obligations throughout the loss mitigation process. Reviews title searches to ensure no title issues. Document all collection activity. Review to Successor in Interest. Complete collateral evaluation reviews.
Knowledge of CFPB laws and regulations concerning collection procedure. Ability to prioritize, attention to detail and good communication. Strong organizational skills. Able to work well under pressure. Experience with credit and collections, general clerical experience, computer experience, loan department experience.
