- Own domain data definitions, business rules, and semantic accuracy across Gold layer assets

- Serve as the authoritative voice between business stakeholders and engineering on data meaning and usage

- Define and maintain data contracts, SLAs, and certified dataset criteria

- Drive Medallion layer promotion standards (what qualifies as Gold/Platinum)

- Partner with Catalog team (Alation) on business glossary and lineage documentation

- Drive C-level discussions on data product strategy, business value, and platform direction

- Comfortable creating and delivering executive-ready presentations hands-on not delegating to support staff
