Job Title: Mainframe Production Support Engineer
Location: Chandler, AZ or Des Moines, IA
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Mainframe Production Support Engineer with strong experience in Mainframe Application Support. The candidate will work with the Mainframe Platform Support team and provide production support for credit card and rewards applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2/3 production support for Mainframe applications
- Monitor production systems and maintain system stability
- Troubleshoot failed mainframe jobs (JCL) and resolve issues
- Perform root cause analysis and support ad hoc job executions
- Work with Production Control teams to restart/recover failed jobs
- Support business users and application teams for technical issues
- Update incidents and tickets in tools like ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence
- Monitor application mailboxes and respond to requests
- Document incidents, resolutions, and follow-up tasks
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Mainframe Production/Application Support
- Hands-on experience with:
- JCL
- COBOL
- CICS
- DB2
- CA7
- IDCAMS
- Mainview
- Experience with file tools such as:
- File Manager
- File Analyzer
- EZTRIEV
