Quality Inspector β Electrical / Mechanical
Location: San Jose, CA
We're looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to support receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electrical components, electronic assemblies, PCBs, and mechanical components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of electrical components, electronic assemblies, PCBs, and mechanical components.
- Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product conformance.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections using precision hand inspection tools.
- Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document inspection results.
- Identify and document nonconformances while partnering with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve quality issues.
- Support inspection planning, quality documentation, and continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, electronics, medical device, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
- Strong experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and tolerances.
- Hands-on experience using microscopes, calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, pin gauges, and height gauges.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Experience documenting nonconformances and inspection results.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-A-610 certification (or ability to obtain).
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience.
- AS9102 First Article Inspection experience.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with SAP or other MES systems.
- Aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
