Production Worker_Swing_Mon-Thu 4:00pm to 2:00am

APEL Extrusions is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States. With locations in Calgary, Canada, Coburg, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona.

We are currently taking applications for production workers in the below areas:

• Production
  • Saw Operator
  • Stretcher Operator
  • Load/Unloader
  • Finishing Helper
  • Packer
  • Material Handlers (forklift operator)

General Duties and responsibilities

• Work with large industrial equipment.
• Review and follow work order instructions and best practice requirements.
• Adhere and promote all safety requirements.
• Read and understand dimensional prints.
• Operate measuring devises.
• Comply with all policies and procedures in accordance with our quality management system.
• Ability to be on time for shift schedules.

  Skills

• High degree of independence and accountability 
• Detailed oriented individual able to frequently perform multiple tasks at a given time  
• Able to independently perform simple calculations.
• Communicate well and interact with others effectively.
• Working knowledge of extrusion press responsibilities is preferred.

 Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience preferred

  Working Environment

• Exposed to a production environment which includes noise, moving machinery, fork lifts and fluctuations in temperature.

• Overtime is to be expected based on production requirements.

 Physical Requirements

• Frequent or occasional, walking, standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and ability to lift, push, pull at least 25 pounds.
