As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a seasoned Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who can also take ownership of project management responsibilities.
Position Summary
This role combines engineering expertise with project management. You will lead the design, execution, and delivery of custom automation systems and equipment — overseeing both the technical aspects and the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is experienced, organized, and capable of guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Define project scope and deliverables at kickoff.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules and task lists.
- Lead design and machine reviews to ensure all requirements are met.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to manage timelines, costs, and resources.
- Facilitate project closeouts and post-project reviews.
Engineering & Design
- Design and detail mechanical or electrical systems based on area of expertise.
- For Mechanical Engineers: Create fabrication models using SolidWorks; design piping, ducting, or mechanical layouts using AutoCAD.
- For Electrical Engineers: Create schematics, panel layouts, and conduit diagrams using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
- Specify components and materials based on project demands.
- Participate in design reviews with sales and customers to ensure project alignment.
Manufacturing & Installation
- Support the assembly and installation phases.
- Oversee startup tasks and troubleshoot technical challenges on site.
- Ensure deliverables exceed industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field) required.
- 3 years of engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- 1 years of direct project management or team leadership experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; SolidWorks and Visio a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
