Role Description
The Aircraft Accessories Technician is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for the inspection, disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, reassembly, and testing of aircraft accessories and related components in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM maintenance manuals, repair station procedures, and company quality standards.
The technician will support the complete repair process of aircraft components, including evaluation, diagnosis, repair, assembly, functional testing, and documentation. Components may include pneumatic systems, fuel system components, valves, actuators, pumps, generators, starter generators, electromechanical devices, and other aircraft accessories.
Daily responsibilities include interpreting technical documentation such as Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), engineering drawings, service bulletins, and repair station procedures; documenting maintenance activities; maintaining traceability of parts and materials; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the shop.
The successful candidate will work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft component maintenance, repair, overhaul, or related aviation environments.
- Experience working in an MRO, FAA Part 145 Repair Station, aircraft component repair facility, or similar technical environment.
- Experience inspecting, disassembling, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, reassembling, and testing aircraft components or accessories.
- Ability to read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), service bulletins, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, test equipment, and specialized shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience repairing aircraft accessory components.
- Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, electromechanical, or power generation components.
- Experience with components such as:
- Air Cycle Machines (ACMs)
- Integrated Drive Generators (IDGs)
- Generators and Starter Generators
- Actuators
- Pneumatic Components
- Hydraulic Components
- Fuel System Components
- Previous experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
- Aviation technical school training.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred but not required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
