Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge in all aspects of apartment maintenance. A positive and professional manner and a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance requests and repairs in resident apartments, including but not limited to plumbing, drywall, electrical and appliance repair.
- Complete apartment turn overs in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly inspections of apartments.
- Occasionally pickup maintenance supplies from area vendors (Home Depot, Lowes, Standard Appliance, Sherwin Williams, etc.)
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Maintain the safety of grounds
- Utilize cellphone apps to pick up and track progress of work orders
Experience
- 3 years' experience in apartment maintenance is preferred but experience in a related field may be considered.
- Painting exp.
- Drywall repairs exp.
- Appliance troubleshooting & repair exp. (electric stoves, dishwashers and refrigerators)
- Light electrical exp. (Outlet replacement, GFCI replacement, light fixture replacement, hood range repairs & replacement, breaker replacement, etc.)
- Electric Water heater repairs & replacement.
- Light carpentry (door jambs, hanging doors, closet door installs, etc.)
- Gas furnace repairs (pilot generators, thermostats and gas valve repairs and replacement)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
