ABA Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: REMOTE
The ABA Biller and A/R Specialist will assist with the end-to-end billing process for our clients. Responsible for ensuring proper submission and adjudication of all claims submitted while working within deadlines and protocols. Must be able to communicate with all insurance carriers, including Medicaid from a resolutions-based perspective. As an instrumental part of the RCM department, the ABA Billing and A/R Specialist will identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of billing and collections for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating and managing all aspects of revenue cycle management.
- Ensure correct coding of claims.
- Submit electronic claims.
- Ensure payments reflect the fee schedule.
- Filing of appeals.
- Client accounts receivable and any needed adjustments.
- Payer authorizations.
- Claims denial management.
- Primary Insurance liaison.
- Ongoing credentialing and demographic updates with insurance companies.
- Maintaining RCM policies and procedure manuals for clients and payers.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CBCS, CPC Certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing in a healthcare setting, ABA experience preferred.
- Must have a full understanding of insurance follow-up processes (i.e. Billing, Collections, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Practices)
- Software proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with Central Reach is highly preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to multi-task.
