Essential/Core Job-specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as director for assigned program. Serves as clinical supervisor for designated staff. Provides formal, direct supervision to each supervisee via regular monthly or weekly supervisory sessions and written correspondence, as needed. Documents provision of supervision in competency files. Ensures appropriate supervision and direction for all other staff under his/her line of authority. Organizes work for effective and economical use of time, personnel and materials. Provides leadership and motivation to program staff to ensure a high quality of care and adherence of Agency standards. Promotes performance improvement activities within program. Initiates and participates on work groups to pursue identified areas of improvement.
- Coordinates and monitors clinical operations for assessment, care, client rights, continuity, and patient education in accordance with established Agency policies and procedures (e.g., Client Record Handbook, clinical practice guidelines, policies, etc.).
- Conducts ongoing and review and audit of program case files, consistent with Center standards, to ensure compliance with Agency policy, C&F rules, Joint Commission standards and third party payer expectations. Conducts programmatic billing integrity audits in accordance with Agency policy and procedure.
- Supervises the hiring and all subsequent personnel actions of assigned staff. Assist in the development/review/update of formal position descriptions for assigned staff. Organizes work for effective and economical use of time, personnel and materials. Maintains liaison with Human Resource Department to ensure compliance with all applicable personnel rules, policies and practices.
- Serves as Safety Officer for assigned facilities/programs. Coordinates and/or oversees safety orientations, environment of care inspections, fire drills, disaster drills, and the promotion of safety and security in accordance with policy. Initiates work orders to address all maintenance or safety issues to promote a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment.
