We are growing and looking for a dynamic dental assistant to join our team! Apalachee Bay Family Dental, Dr. Ben Grooters is hiring an expanded functions dental assistant. We pride ourselves on our excellent patient care and loyal team of professionals with over 800 5-star reviews. We have a modern, coastal office with top of the line dental equipment, so you will have the opportunity to work with the newest dental technologies. We perform multiple procedures of dentistry including molar root canals, extractions, surgical guided implant placements and offer clear aligners, allowing you an opportunity to work in many facets of the dental profession.
To do well in this role you should be able to provide excellent patient care and education, be a hard-working, team player and possess the ability to stay calm under pressure. You should have great organizational skills, knowledge of infection control protocols and have a professional and positive attitude. Dental assisting, x-ray certification and dental software experience is required. An expanded functions dental assistant is preferred, but anyone with the right personality with dental assisting experience is welcome to apply. Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Dental x-ray certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent and dental assisting certification from an accredited institution.
- Experience charting and using dental software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, dependable and patient-centered approach are a must.
Preferred abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
- EFDA Certification from an accredited dental assisting program.
- Knowledge of Dexis, CBCT and digital scanner.
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft.
- Experience with dental implant placements and clear aligners.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.22 - $27.97 per hour
Expected hours: 17 – 35 per week
