Job Title: Packaging Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer with a background in the cosmetics or personal care industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Plan and direct activities related to the design and development of protective packaging containers and components.
- Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze engineering drawings and product specifications to determine the physical characteristics of items, special handling and safety requirements, and the appropriate materials for containers and components.
- Purchasing and Production Collaboration: Collaborate with purchasing and production departments to evaluate costs and assess the feasibility of producing proposed packaging designs.
- Design Presentations: Develop or oversee the creation of sketches, specifications, samples, and detailed written analyses of proposed packaging to present designs for approval.
- Packing Procedures and Innovations: Provide guidance on efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and the use of sealing and fastening devices.
- CAD Software Utilization: Utilize CAD software and tools to create precise packaging designs.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Experience: 1 year of mechanical engineering experience (Required)
- CAD Experience: 1 year of CAD experience (Required)
- Component/Packaging/Dispensing Experience: 1 year of component/packaging/dispensing experience (Required)
Work Environment:
