EVS Attendant Job Description
Position Summary:
The EVS (Environmental Services) Attendant ensures the cleanliness and overall appearance of the casino while maintaining a safe and inviting environment for guests and employees. Additionally, this role includes cross-training and potential responsibilities to support Drop and Count Team operations, providing opportunities for career growth within the casino.
Environmental Services (Primary Role):
1. Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Maintain the cleanliness of gaming areas, restrooms, restaurants, and other public spaces.
- Empty trash receptacles, restock supplies, and sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor scrubbers.
2. Guest Service:
- Respond promptly to guest requests for cleaning or maintenance services.
- Ensure public areas are clean, well-maintained, and safe for patrons.
3. Safety Compliance:
- Use and store cleaning chemicals properly, adhering to safety standards.
- Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues to the Facilities or Security teams.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
- High school diploma or GED.
2. Experience:
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred.
- Experience handling cash or in a secure environment is a plus.
3. Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate counting and reconciliation.
- Physical stamina for cleaning tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.
4. Attributes:
- Integrity and adherence to security protocols.
- Flexibility to perform both EVS and drop/count team responsibilities.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to cross-train and learn new tasks.
Work Environment:
- Primarily works indoors on the casino floor and back-of-house areas.
- May require extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to loud noises, smoke, and cleaning chemicals is possible.
