The Safety and Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our Safety Department and Operations teams. This position helps ensure we meet our safety and compliance goals by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with daily processes that reduce risk and strengthen our operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-focused professional with administrative experience who is looking to grow their career in a fast-paced transportation environment. This is a full-time, onsite position based in our Holland, MI office.
Job Duties
Promote safety and organizational excellence through:
- Frequent reviewing and analysis of risk, safety, and compliance data
- Reviewing and following up on internal compliance matters
- Conducting regular audits on driver compliance
- Maintaining, updating, and organizing safety documentation and records
- Prescreening driver applicants and reviewing qualification files
- Providing direct support to drivers on compliance requirements and assisting them with navigating and troubleshooting safety-related systems
- Performing data entry, processing, and basic data analysis
- Preparing and sending recurring and ad-hoc reports
- Sending and receiving electronic documentation
- Communicating frequently with the Safety Manager, Operations Managers, and company leadership
- Supporting additional projects and tasks as needed
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable using Google tools (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Strong computer aptitude
- Ability to navigate and work within multiple user-friendly systems

Experience and Requirements
- Administrative and clerical experience required
- Transportation industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations beneficial
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation
