Key Responsibilities
- Assist school and district staff with Medicaid-related documentation, claims, and reporting
- Coordinate training between Medicaid agencies and school personnel to ensure understanding and compliance
- Convert service documentation into claim submissions for the district's Medicaid billing agent
- Track and confirm reimbursements received from submitted claims
- Organize and maintain Medicaid records for district use and audit purposes
- Manage correspondence and distribute Medicaid-related information to relevant stakeholders
- Document procedures and maintain clear records of Medicaid processes
- Notify the Director of Budget and Finance and Director of Special Education of any concerns or discrepancies
- Provide general office support including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and coordinating mailings
- Ensure all work aligns with district policies and applicable state and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Special Education department
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum two years of clerical or secretarial experience preferred
- Familiarity with general accounting practices and Medicaid processes preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
- Valid Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card with IVP#
- Primarily sedentary office work with occasional movement and light lifting (up to 10 lbs)
- Moderate noise level typical of a school office environment
