Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Our pay is completely based on experience and prior knowledge, please keep this in mind while reviewing our job summary. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will also be required to perform overhauls and computer diagnostics on CAT, Detroit and Cummins engines.
Responsibilities
- Bilingual preferred but not necessary
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repairs.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools and welding equipment.
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers for testing and repair purposes.
- Repair and maintain farm machinery and industrial equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct alignment procedures and HVAC system repairs on various vehicles and machinery.
- Use hand tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with team members regarding repair status.
